2022-23 Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

In the 17 years our school has been open, we have found the most success with traffic flow when all drivers are willing to follow the traffic rules. Mornings can be quite busy and families are looking to see their children safely to school, then make it quickly and safely to their next destination. The design of our parking lot requires an abundance of patience and we are confident that new design solutions will become available in the near future. But in the meantime, please remember that our #1 goal is to keep students safe. Eastvale Elementary values your help with this! Please be sure you are familiar with the procedures below.

Arrival:

Parents and visitors can drop off students at the front of the school. Please do not park or exit your car while in the drop-off lane, as it can be very dangerous for students and also slows down the flow of traffic. Additionally, crosswalks are important for both students and adult safety. As you move your car forward, avoid blocking the crosswalks and or crowding the gate. Our Wildcats should be able to enter through the gates without pushing through what can look like an intimidating crowd of adults.

Kinder Dismissal:

Throughout CNUSD, Kindergarten students will now dismiss 15 minutes earlier than grades 1st through 6th, across all bell schedules. If you are driving to pick up your kinder student, please refer to the map below. This route will only be open for kinder pick up and will close at the dismissal time for other grade levels. We recommend that you park and walk to pick up kinder students. All Kinder students who are not picked up by the appropriate time will be escorted to the grassy area near the row of cones to wait with a teacher on duty. Parents, don't forget that Kinder dismisses at 11:30am for the first 10 days of school!

Grades 1-6 Dismissal:

The Kinder entrance will close with the dismissal of grades 1st through 6th. This will no longer be an exit during dismissal, as in previous years. The Drive-Thru Pick up lane will extend the length of the front of the school. Please be sure to discuss which gate you want your child to exit from, where you might want them to meet their sibling, and where you plan to pick them up. We recommend that you park and walk to pick up your student(s) or have them walk to meet you.
