Hello Eastvale 5th and 6th grade teachers,
My name is Chris Tartalone, and I will be taking over band at Eastvale Elementary this year. I'm excited to work with you all this year!
I have begun recruitment for band! We will have an assembly on Monday morning at 9:00am for A, C and D tracks in the MPR. The assembly for B track will be on 8/10 at 9:00. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Please find the band recruitment flyer attached to this email. I dropped off some at the front office yesterday. You will also get a class set at our assembly on Monday.
I will be at PIN night tonight. I will have a booth set up outside of the MPR. I am available for parents to answer any questions. I will also have instruments that students can hold and hear. It would be greatly appreciated if you could please mention to the parents that I am here.
I will be starting classes the week of 7/20.
Please find the current schedule here. Please know that it may move around slightly. If it does, I'll let you know. Next week, I will send you rosters of students who enrolled in band class.

If you're interested, here's a little about me:
This is my 9th year teaching and my 3rd year with CNUSD as an Elementary Band Teacher. Before teaching with CNUSD, I spent time teaching band at the middle and high school levels in Southern California and Michigan. My bands have regularly earned superior ratings at regional and state festivals. I have also taught guitar, choir, elementary general music and music production. I love making music every day and regularly perform in the community. Attached is a picture of my family. I have an amazing wife and two boys, Danny (6) and Logan (5). In addition to music, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and making furniture in my woodshop.
